I've lived the "offshore" lifestyle for more than a decade now. I'm a citizen of three countries, visited more than 50, own property in a couple, and have companies and bank accounts where it is convenient for me. I've produced books for Americans looking to adopt travel as a lifestyle or understand the complexities of the US tax system for expatriates.More importantly, I've worked with and hired many of the so-called professionals in the offshore services space who offer advice and done-for-you services for people who are new to this world and intimidated by the enormous amount of misinformation out there. This is the kind of area where if you are not familiar with at least the basics of what's available, it's extremely easy to be misled or overcharged by a middleman who doesn't actually know as much as he claims he does and plays off your ignorance.If you've done any research in this space at all, you've probably come across the overly posturing egomaniacs who try to portray themselves as the experts to all things overseas. Many of them have even written similar books that promise to teach you what they know, but are not-so-secretely just sales pitches for their overpriced services.Expat Secrets is different because it doesn't have a hidden agenda. It exists just to take you by the hand and show you the groundwork of how this world of international living and investing works. Mikkel doesn't try to make it the perfect, esoteric guide to everything you could ever possibly want to know, but reading his book will definitely open your mind to all the ways you could apply internationalization to your personal life, relationships, business, banking, and sense of identity. No, you won't learn how to get fake passports - but you'll be equipped to do things the legitimate way so you can live comfortably and not have to worry about being tied to a single country or currency in regard to your wealth. That sounds pretty cool to me.Pick up a copy of this book, it's well worth it and you'll learn a lot.

He has highly successful guests that proved that you can have amazing life outside your birth country!After this book my next destination is Thailand!
