When I got this book, while it was free, I was happy to see this kind of books. It has a lot of basic definitions used in Law that is very useful to understand what you read on the news or personal use. I think that also for a low price you can use this book to learn so much, I find it a useful books even for people that just want to understand what you read or hear on TV.
Very useful for law students!This book covers most of the essential and practical legal words and terms which help me have a foundation understanding and vocabularies about law.As a law students, I think this book is indispensable for me and those who work or study in the legal field.I give this book five stars simply because it’s informative and helps me a lot in my study.It’s worth the money. Great read!
There are errors and inconsistencies in the texts. The vocabulary words & descriptions you find in this book could easily be googled. There are no examples & the wordage is very basic. Most of the terms I already knew. It's all right for a beginner, I guess. I wouldn't buy it again even though it is cheap. Why? I feel that I could have found a better free version. Regardless, I'll keep it & pass it along.
A book purporting to define and describe the proper use of legal terms shoud not confuse the terms "council" and "counsel." Even worse in the mind of this reader, however, is the author's citations to Wikipedia as an authoritive source for the definition and use of legal terms! Finally, dispite the author's description of the differences between an "attorney" and a "barrister" being limited to the "costume" and "curly wig" that a barrister wears at certain proceedings, the functions performed by the two professions actually differ in several material respects. In my opinion, Amazon should remove this book from the Kindle store and refund the purchase price paid by each customer duped into buying it.

This handbook was so helpful to me when I needed to write tests. There is general information about the law, you can also learn the general basic legal terms described accurately, you can easily remember this information. I think this is a unique book because I don’t know such a different one.
Didn't meet my expectation,Author used bunch of simple terms peraphrased the meaning in his own words, some 25 one sided pages, but at the end about 10 pages used for advertising sexual orgasm for women, or sex education for teens. Very rediculos, going back.
