BETTER THAN FICTION!! Adventure, adrenaline, human pathos, tragedy, determination, and purpose in life. The best adventure / action novel writer could not have made this stuff up, and every bit true. I recently took expert training from him, a genuinely wonderful and humble person with none of the ego you would expect of someone with this background & experiences. I could hardly put it down from beginning to end and had to consume it in one weekend.
Marc Lonergan- Hertel has experienced so many adventures full of life and death moments. Sierra Two is a genuine and moving account of these moments. He skillfully interweaves his experiences with life lessons which make for a very rich page turning read.
A great story of an remarkable life journey. Enjoy this read and learn what persistence and hard work can accopmlish.
I loved this book! I'm usually not much for men's adventure stories but this one grabbed me and I couldn't put it down. The author's writing style invites the reader into his physical and emotional world as he travels the harsh yet beautiful waters of Antarctica and then on to the Amazon, where evil and sinister forces seriously challenge the mission he and his team are trying to accomplish. I really recommend it if you're looking for a great book to escape the mundane day to day world and get immersed in a real-life adventure. Lonergan-Hertel is lucky to be alive and hopefully more books are coming from him soon.
This was given to me by a friend who was an Army ranger. I loved the true story line from an actual Navy Seal. Especially how he found himself and his life's direction. Very exciting.
An amazing story for everyone to read! I loved this book and will recommend to all my friends.
